Mad Science parties entertain children of all ages with exciting, high-energy, interactive shows that come to you. Our no-mess, hassle-free parties typically last one hour, with the option of special add-ons, like cotton candy-making, bubbling potions and rocket launches. Children will discover objects that float through columns of air, marvel at the mystery of fireworks, see the power of static and be amazed by green-glowing water! |
Children leave Mad Science parties with fun and educational take-home experiments like slippery slime, fantastic Mad Science putty or super bouncy balls!
We have 3 party time slots on Saturdays and Sundays:
11:00 A.M. (usually with an 11:15 show)
2:00 P.M. (usually with a 2:15 show)
5:00 P.M. (usually with a 5:15 show)
We perform multiple parties at each time, but cannot vary much from this schedule as our instructors frequently have additional party commitments each day. We can do after school and evening parties during the week, subject to instructor availability.
We highly recommend that you invite your guests to arrive "on the hour", and have the Mad Science instructor start the Mad Science portion of your party 15 minutes later. This insures the best attention span for your show. You can choose to invite the guests much earlier and have us start promptly "on the hour" (it is your party!), but this tends to allow the kids to "peak" too early.
We prefer to schedule parties 3-4 weeks (or more!) prior to the planned party date, but we may be able to book a party on short notice.
All of the party packages have 2 pricing options: an "up to 20" price, and a slightly higher fee for up to 30 children. These party packages are discounts on our normal show prices, and these prices and activities only apply if you have 30 children or less participating in the party.

Add-on Activities
A choice of one of the following activities is included in the Silver and Gold Party Packages. Each activity lasts approximately 15 minutes, depending on the number of children present.
Rocket Launch Finale:
Blast off with this exciting and innovative upgrade. This is no ordinary rocket launch. This fuel powered rocket can blast up to 300 feet - leaving a trail of lasting impressions! This requires an ample outdoor space. Should weather be inclement a $50 credit will be issued and other experiments will be done in lieu of the launch.
(Instructor's cannot carry both upgrades so final decisions about customizations must be made by 10 AM three days before your event)
Mad Science Bubbling Potions:
For an extra special Mad Science experience we will mix up some bubbling potions using dry ice. Witness our most famous elixirs like the Mad Science Bath and the Big Burp. For the grand finale we'll fill the room with our creepy low-lying fog, just like in the movies!!!
Indoor Fireworks:
Witness a spectacular chemical energy display as we mix powdered metals over an alcohol burner to show how the fantastic colors in fireworks are produced. This set of demonstrations requires a room that can be darkened (no skylights, please!).
Cotton Candy:
Watch as we take the art of making cotton candy and turn it into a lesson on the science of heat and molecular energy. And then everyone gets to cotton candy! This is the only "add-on" with limited availability, so request this early if interested. (The machine cannot be in more than one county in the same day.)
