Birthday Performers Needed

We are currently looking for high-energy birthday performers who love working with groups of elementary age children.  This is a really fun job if you enjoy performing in front of groups of people and working with children.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have a dependable car.
  • Must have previous experience working with groups of elementary age children.  This can be things like camp counselor, Sunday school teacher, children's coach.  We're sorry, but just babysitting is not enough experience. It must be experience with groups of at least 10 children.
  • Must be able to work at least 2 weekends per month.
  • Must love performing in front of groups.  It will be children, parents, grandparents and friends.
  • Do not need to have a science background.  We do the training.
  • We do a criminal background check on all employees.
  • MUST BE HIGH-ENERGY AND LOT'S OF FUN!!!

How The Job Works:

  • Most of the parties take place in the birthday child's home.
  • Most of the parties are done indoors, although we occasionally do outdoor parties.
  • Normally, the parties last 1 to 1.5 hours.
  • Most of the parties take place on the weekends.
  • We require our party instructors to tell us which weekends that they are not available.  This schedule is at least 6 weeks out. Once we are given this schedule, we expect our instructors to adhere to the schedule that they give us because we book our parties based on instructor availability.
  • We provide the script and materials; you furnish the performance. 
  • After training, you will take the party kit home and practice it.
  • You will then perform the party in front of some of the Mad Science office personnel.   
  • We offer great pay and many of the parents tip the party instructors.
