Camp Costs

The following costs include everything that your child will need. (Exception - If you have selected a 6-hour camp, your child will need to bring a sack lunch. Also, see the following note about the rocket camp.) If you select our Camp No. 4 - Rockin' Rockets, we will launch rockets and your child will build several types of rockets. Our camp includes everything your child needs during our camp day. However, if you wish to continue your child's interest in rocket launches outside of our camp, you will need to purchase a launch kit at a hobby shop. Also, if you selected our Camp No. 7 - Red-Hot Robots, there will be an additional $25 supply fee for the purchase of the robot that your child will make and take home. 

3-Hour per day Camps (5 days per week)
$150 per child/per camp for 1 camp
$140 per child/per camp for 2 camps
$130 per child/per camp for 3 or more camps

6-Hour per day Camps (5 days per week)
$250 per child/per camp for 1 camp
$240 per child/per camp for 2 camps
$230 per child/per camp for 3 or more camps

Late Pickup
Available for our 6-Hour per day camps only!
$50 per week/per child

Late pickup (3:00pm - 5:00pm) at the St. Thomas location, is available for our 6-hour per day camps.  Add $50 per camp if you choose late pickup.  A minimum of 5 children per camp is needed for us to offer this option.

Early Drop-off
We do offer early drop-off for 6-hour per day camps.  You can drop off your child as early as 8:00am for no additional charge.

Supply Fee
For Camp No. 7 Red-Hot Robots, add $25 per child supply fee. 
No other camp has additional supply fees.

The above discounts apply to siblings also. For example, if you have 2 children who sign up for one 3-hour per day camp, your cost would be $140 per camp. 
 

Payment/Refund Policy

Payment Policy:
You can choose between two different payment methods:
1) Deposit all now - We will deposit your check or charge your credit card in full for the full amount of all camps. This will usually be within 2 weeks from when you register.
2) Deferred Payment - We will not charge your credit card or deposit your check until 4 weeks prior to the camp start date. If paying by check, you can send in separate checks for each camp if you want us to delay payment. Otherwise, we will deposit your check 4 weeks prior to the start of the first camp that you select.

Refund Policy:
If you cancel within 4 weeks or less to the camp start date, a $50 cancellation fee per camp will be charged. After the first day of camp, if your child does not wish to continue, the $50 cancellation fee will be charged and the balance will be refunded. However, you must call Mad Science at (210) 651-1143 prior to the start of the second day of camp to obtain a refund. After that, no refunds will be given. If we do not get sufficient enrollment to hold the camp, we will return your check or not charge your credit card (if you elected the deferred payment option). If a camp does not get sufficient enrollment and if we have already deposited your payment, we will give you a full refund.
