Enrichment Programs After School 

Our Programs Outside the Typical School Day Are Found in a School Near You

We have had the great pleasure of working with the following school districts during our first three years of operation:

CANCELLATION POLICY:  If programming should be cancelled due to inclement weather, acts of God or closing of a school due to illness or school issues, we will make up the session as a double session on our last day of programming in the district, notifying parents in advance of the date.  No rescheduling will be done for cancellation of final sessions in the series or for non-school or parent controlled issues.

Refund Policy - Participants will be charged $10.67 per child per session plus a $25 administrative processing fee per child for cancellation of registration.  No refunds will be allowed beyond the first session.

Mad Science's Enrichment Programs spark imaginative learning outside the school day.  These programs typically span six hours of very fun education!  We can do them on any weeknight, including Fridays.

Group sizes are usually 12 to 18 children.  Typically they are held at your school, but they may be hosted elsewhere, including an interested parent's home if the school is unavailable.  Note!: Mad Science is not as messy as you may think, and we straighten-up and clean spot-less after!  Here are options for how you may schedule them:

  • Traditional Approach:  Six weeks, one time per week, one hour each session, right after school.  Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays!
  • Evening Approach:  Particularly liked by parents wanting to take an Adult/Child approach, where the adult can be Dad or Mom, Grandfather/mother, older brother/sister, or any mentor you like!
  • No-School Day Approach:  We can do these days beginning and ending at the same times your typical school day does.  One day of programming is generally four or five hours of Mad Science interspersed with snack breaks, playground breaks, and lunch. 
  • Expanded Fridays Approach:  Typically three Fridays of two hours each, right after school.  There is no better way to start their weekend!
  • "Mini-Camp" Approach:  Two or three hours right after school on Friday, then three or four hours on Saturday.  If your child enjoys summer camps, this is the next best thing!
  • Limited Weeks Approach:  Short on weeks?  Try two times per week, and/or two hours each session, right after school.  With this approach we can do the traditional six weeks in just three, or even two weeks if you need it!    

Choose from themes like Chemistry, Energy, Space(co-developed with NASA), or mix it up a bit with a "Mixed Mad Science" program.  Each hands-on session allows children to step into a new and exciting area of science and explore such topics as acids & bases, electricity/electro-magnetism, geology, lasers, polymers, rocketry, sound science, and even the science of outer space the official NASA way, among other topics.

Children engage in educational hands-on activities, volunteer for spectacular demonstrations, participate in inquiry-based discussions and take home items they make themselves like electro-magnets, fossil casts, polymers, model rockets, periscopes and more.  Program costs range from about $39 to $79 dollars per child, varying based on program length, and the minimum/maximum registration numbers established.  Mad Science enrichment programs offer children a chance to see just how cool science is, and that science is for everyone!
