When your child's school is closed for teacher In-Service days, national holidays, winter or spring break or other reasons, Mad Science offers programming that matches your schedule.
Drop your kids off at Mad Science for some science shenanigans. You can think of it as educational babysitting. Your kids will just think it's cool!

Single Day Programs
Open to grades K - 6. Similar to our award-winning summer camps, our school holiday programs offer a daily combination of in-class discovery and exploration, outdoor games and physical activities and hands-on applications of the scientific principles presented. Children create a variety of take-home projects and participate in snack-tivities while exploring how science affects the world around us. Your child will have so much fun he may deny he was learning!

The below activities are available as either a half-day program (9am - noon) for $29 or a full-day program (9am - 5pm) for $59.

Similar to our one day programs, our Spring Break programs are available as either a half-day (9am - noon) or a full-day (9am - 5pm). See above for spring break program schedule at each of our locations.
- Each half-day program (9am - noon) is $29
- Each full-day program (9am - 5pm) is $59
- Sign up for the full week (April 9th - April 13th) and get 5 days for the price of 4!

Descriptions
- Robot Invasion – Learn the “nuts and bolts” of robotics! Build simple circuits, test for conductors and non-conductors, explore how switches work and discover how robots interact with our world. There is nothing a robot can’t do - whether it’s playing soccer or dancing the Funky Chicken! In this mini-camp you will build a solar powered insect, a robot artist that’s got real talent and a “bugbot” – all to take home! Activities may vary for half-day programs.
- Rocketeers – 3…2…1…Blast Off! In this zooming adventure you’ll learn the principles of flight, discover hidden patterns in the sky, and navigate through our celestial neighborhood – the Solar System and beyond! This day begins with a BANG! as you join the count down of a real rocket launch that soars hundreds of feet into the air. Then it’s a mission to the moon as you explore the night sky. You’ll even build your own model rocket to take home. Houston, we are go for launch! Activities may vary for half-day programs.
- Rock, Paper, Scissors! - It is the middle ages and your “army” is under siege. All you have at your disposal is paper, scissors and … duct tape. What will you do? How will you defend your castle? How will you take the battle to their castle to vanquish your foes? Create mouse trap catapults, construct forts, make a water balloon flinger and experiment with our 7 foot tall trebuchet! Activities may vary for half-day programs.
- Science Fiction. Science Fact. - Journey to the future and examine the ultramodern inventions of the 23rd century. Then design the future - today. Create light sabers, hovercraft, and jet packs. Activities may vary for half-day programs.
- Super Sleuths - TOP SECRET This is your mission if you chose to accept it: learn the ins and outs of the spy trade. Conduct surveillance and elude detection through booby traps, bionic ears and super sight gear. Create secret messages that even the slickest sleuths, or your parents, can’t crack. After today, the tools of espionage will be at your command! Activities may vary for half-day programs.
- Whiz Kidz - Did you know that an accident can become a great invention or that kids have created some of the gadgets we use every day? With materials that look a lot like, well ... junk - you'll be put to the test! Will you be the next Jimmy Neutron? Compete in the Egg Drop Challenge, build a working light bulb and create a dancing robot. Activities may vary for half-day programs.
- Wild Blue Yonder - It took the world 100 years to go from traveling by horse and buggy to landing on the moon. You're smart - you'll do it in a day! Learn to fly gliders, planes, jets and rockets. Will you be the camp's Top Gun? Activities may vary for half-day programs.
