The majority of our camps will follow the below pricing structure. Please refer to the camp schedule for costs of each specific camp.

Early Bird Discount

Our on-line registration system will automatically generate your early bird discount.
Layaway payments completed by April 18th will qualify for the Early Bird Discount.
Neither the Early Bird nor the Multi-Camp/Sibling discounts may be used in conjunction with any camps offered at our partner locations. Partner locations are organizations that process their own registration and payments and do not use our on-line registration system. Multi camp/Sibling Discount
Attend more - save more!

Register for two camps and save an additional $10 off each camp. |

Register for three or more camps and save an additional $20 off EACH camp! |
Combine this with the Early Bird Discount and you could save enough to attend one camp for free!
Multi-camp/Sibling Discount is available only on camps where Mad Science processes both the registration and the payment (camps available on our on-line registration system) and is limited to members of the same household. Registration and payment for all camps must take place at the same time to receive the discount. Multi-camp/Sibling Discount must be processed by our office staff. One child can register for 2 or more camps to receive the discount or two or more siblings can register for one camp each to receive the discount. Siblings do not have to be registered for the same camp(s).

Coupons
From time to time, Mad Science will offer coupons for special savings through various periodicals in the Richmond area. Without exception, these coupons may not be used with any other coupon, discount or special pricing (ie Early Bird Discount). These terms are clearly stated on all Mad Science coupons.
Because of the production dates of these periodicals, some coupon offers may be published during our Early Bird Discount period and thus would not be valid with this special pricing. If you have any questions about how or when a coupon may be redeemed and what its value would be, please contact our office at 804.359.1500 and our staff will be happy to help you.

July 4th Camps
All camps offered during the week beginning July 2nd will not meet on Wednesday July 4th. Because of the shorter period of the camps this week (4 days), camp costs will be prorated as follows:

Half-day camps (typically 9AM - Noon) are $109 (normally $134) |

Early Bird Special - pay in full by April 18th = $99 (save $10) |

Full-day camps (typically 9AM - 4PM) are $184 (normally $229) |

Multi Camp/Sibling Discounts will still apply to all July 4th camps. ($10 off each for 2 camp registrations, $20 off each for 3 or more camp registrations). |

Layaway Payments
Our Lay-away payment option lets you determine how and when you will pay for camp!
The economy is forcing everyone to look more closely at our checkbooks and the cash coming in vs. the cash going out.
Mad Science wants to ensure your child has the opportunity to attend camp this summer. Therefore you can elect to pay in 3 or 4 installments if that will help ease your budget. To set up a lay-away plan, please contact a Camp Specialist in our office at 359-1500.
For lay-away customers, your initial payment must be at least $50 (which is non-refundable). Payment in full must be made one week prior to the start of your child's camp. For more information, click HERE.
If you pay in full by April 18th, you will still qualify for an Early Bird Discount and save up to $30 per camp!

Gift Certificates
In order to redeem your gift certificate you must call our office (804-359-1500). Unfortunately, our registration system cannot handle this payment transaction. You can register for the camp of your choice through our on-line system. When the system asks you for payment information, check the box for "Cash/Check/Money Order". This will save a spot in the camp until our office can help you redeem your gift certificate.

Before and After Care
For select full-day camps (typically 9am - 4pm) you have the option to enroll your camper in our supervised Before and After Care at an additional cost. Before and After Care can extend the camp day from 8:30am to 5:30pm.
Before and After Care (8:30 - 9am and 4 - 5:30pm) is $49 for the entire camp. There is no discount for partial usage.
Before and After Care is available for select full-day camps at The Mad Science Laboratory in Innsbrook.
Note: a minimum of 5 campers is needed per camp to offer this option.

Why does the same camp cost different amounts in different locations?
Mad Science strives to offer affordable summer programming but costs vary due to many reasons: some camps are 4 days instead of 5, different arrangements we have with the host organization, enhanced options such as extended day care or an additional activities package or higher costs at that location such as rent or insurance.

Do I qualify for the Early Bird discount if I use the Lay-away Payment Plan?
As long as your registration is paid in full by the Early Bird discount deadline of April 18th, the method of payment will not effect the awarding of this discount.

Equipment Fees per camp
Red Hot Robots, and Eureka have a $35 Equipment Fee while Crazy Chemical Concoctions; Mechanical Marvels and More; Secret Agent Lab; and Super-Duper Science Sampler have a $20 Equipment Fee. These Equipment Fees pertain to all camps in these themes (Half Day, Full Day, 4-day or 5-day). This Equipment Fee is reflected in the price of the camp as shown in our schedule and in our registration system.
