Tuesday – 12/21
Rudolph's Electric Nose 9:00 to 12:30PM!Light the way to the North Pole! Make indoor lightning while conducting hair-raising experiments with our electro-static generator. Learn all about conductors, insulators, transistors and other elements in the world of circuit electricity through the tingle in your fingertips and the twinkle in your eye. Using batteries and bulbs, you get to make Rudolph’s Nose shine bright and even take it home.Come Visit the North Pole 1:30 to 5:00PM!It is sooooo cold at the north pole…..but not as cold as Dry Ice-it's 109 degrees below zero. Freeze water to ice in 30 seconds like Jack Frost with just a breath of dry ice, build a giant bubbling potion, make santa's punch carbonated and see your breath as you would at the North Pole. Use your Thermocolor Cup to test the temperature of liquid matter in your home!
Wednesday – 12/22
Discover Santa's Workshop 9:00 to 12:30PM!Discover sound, sound waves and the way household items can be used to create amazing holiday sounds. Be Santa's elf and use our multi-effects processor to turn your voice into an elf's. Children will also discover the science behind some of their favorite toys in this fun-packed program! Children aren't the only ones with the energy to play; their toys are packed with it, too! Make your very own Super Bouncy Ball to take home!Santa's Magnetic Magic 1:30 to 5:00PM!Investigate the powers and daily uses of magnets and learn some of the secrets behind Santa’s magic that you can recreate for yourself! He has some tricks of his own, and we'd like to show you what's up his sleeve! Help build Santa's beard as you test for electro magnetic fields and use what you learn to build your own electro magnet!

Thursday – 12/23
Snow-Ball Polymers 9:00 to 12:30PM!Investigate the ingredients of the universe! Build your own snow-mallow molecules while you explore the exciting world of polymers. Play Alchemist by turning a nickel into gold (well, almost). See the chemical reactions we use to create the inner workings of silly snow putty. Transform two regular liquids into an oozing batch of winter snow as you create your very own cup of snowy slime!Grow your own Snow Flake 1:30 to 5:00PM!Each snow flake has it's own unique design and shape. Explore the unique concepts of chemistry as you grow your very own crystal snow flake. Even make your own snow instantly…and it doesn’t even melt. Chemical reactions at their coolest!
Tuesday – 12/28
Gum Drop Candy Cane Workshop 9:00 to 12:30PM!Experiment with taste sensations while "mapping" out your tongue. Use candy cane testing to compare your sense of smell and taste. Carbonate and taste your very own soda pop and make your very own gum drop. Learn how cooking is all about chemistry. See what we call a kitchen for a look at some novel and practical applications of science! You will build your own Solar Cooker and learn how living organisms cause bread to rise...even in the winter!Cotton Candy and Snow Globes 1:30 to 5:00PM!Witness a mini rocket launch while learning the properties of heat, even in the winter. Learn about the amazing reaction that occurs when you combine heat, sugar and centrifugal force. Turn solid candy into floss and make your very own "Snow" Cotton Candy that you can eat! Also Learn all about the forces behind the movement of planes, trains and automobiles…not to mention Santa’s Sleigh. Perform a series of experiments to learn more about friction, inertia, and other forces. Then make your very own Snow Globe to take Home.
Wednesday – 12/29
Wild Weather - 9:00 to 12:30PM!Become meteorologists in training and discover how hurricanes, tornadoes, and thunderstorms develop, and how powerful they can be! Investigating the ways in which weather is predicted and measured. Conduct hands-on experiments to better understand why it rains and how lightening is formed. We will make our own UV detector to continue investigating amazingly wild weather! Then uncover the hidden components in ordinary light and build your own motorized Newton's color wheel to prove it. Attend a spectacular chemical energy display and see how fireworks are made.Earth Awareness - 1:30 - 5:00pmOn this day we will establish the effects on our earth that weather and climate change can have and how we have to be mindful to take care of our planet. How are we hurting Mother Earth? Discover how science will help us protect our planet. We will get a better understanding of water pollution and acid rain. We will see the benefits of solar energy and turn our trash into recycled paper that you can take home.
Thursday – 12/30
Owl-ology - 9-12:30pmDiscover how owls live, how they adapt to their environment and even what they eat for dinner! Explore these birds of prey and others during this hands-on science program.
