MAD SCIENCE SPECIALTY CAMPS
Mad Science is the world's leader in fun science for children. Your child will be able touch, see, hear, smell and taste what science is really all about. Mad Science camps offer a daily combination of in-class discovery and exploration, outdoor games and physical activities and hands-on applications of the scientific principles presented. Campers create a variety of take-home projects and participate in snack-tivities while exploring how science affects the world around us. Your child will have so much fun he may deny he was learning!
1) The Mad Science Laboratory is one of many locations throughout the midlands to choose from.

A new concept in hands-on fun! For years the Columbia Metro area has experienced our unique brand of fun, hands-on science. Whether through an after-school program, a spectacular show, an awesome birthday party or our other exciting program, Mad Science has come to you and will continue to do so. Now you can come to US for camps, home school programs, birthday parties and more. Newly decorated, science themed rooms that are perfect for all future Mad Scientist. |
2) Powers of Nature Camp - Only Available at the S.C. State Museum!
In this Exclusive Camp at the S.C. State Museum your child will be able to explore the wonders of weather such as Lightning, Tornados, Hurricanes and more. Discover how earthquakes affect the earth and how to keep Mother Earth Clean! All campers will have the opportunity to tour the New “Pirates, Privateer and Buccaneers” traveling exhibit for FREE.
NOTE: All Camps at the S.C. State Museum include a Free T-Shirt, Pass to the Museum and tours during camp!
This camp is a half-day program that can be extended to a full-day through our Combo Camp Option with the Brand New "Planet Earth" Camp - please see below for details.
3)PLANET EARTH - New for 2010 - 5-12 years old
Discover how owls live, adapt to their environment and even what they ate for dinner. Ever wonder how bugs defend themselves against predators or how they survive being so little in such a big world? Help become a caretaker of the Earth. Discover how pollution and acid rain damage our earth and what we can do to help begin to fix these problems. Take a walk on the wild side with this peek into nature while discovering how to track an animal and use it’s “footprints” to learn more about how it lives. Want to know how the sun produces energy to grow our food, heat and cool our homes and even cook your lunch. These are a few of the things you will learn about in our amazing Earth Camp. Do your part to help save our planet!
4) POWERS OF NATURE (Only at the State Museum) + PLANET EARTH = Combo Camp
Combo Camp is a combination of our half-day camps (Powers of Nature and Planet Earth ) to create another full-day option for you. We have several additional Combo Options to choose from. This Combo Camp is ONLY offered at the S.C. State Museum. Planet Earth will be offered at other locations combined with the Rockin Rockets Camp.
5) Before & After Care is still available at some locations with a for only $25!
In response to many requests from working parents, you may now extend the full-day camp from 9am - 4pm to 8:30am - 5:30pm. Before & After Care will be available at several locations. Please consult our schedule for camps and dates. An additional charge of only $25 for this supervision will apply. Please see Camp FAQs for additional details.
6) COMBO CAMP OPTIONS (2 themes in 1 week & save $)
A Combo Camp is a combination of our half-day camps to create another full-day option for you. These camps are offered AM (9-12), PM (1-4pm) OR as a Combo Camp as a FULL Day option from 9-4pm (Before & After Care options also available) . If you choose the Combo Camp option your child will be able to participate in 2 Themed camps in 1 week saving you MONEY! Please refer to the Camp Schedule for all Combo Options at your favorite location. We have several additional Combo Options to choose from.
7) Bring a Mad Science camp to you! - Camps may still be available if you can gather a minimum of 12 campers and provide a place to meet. Please see Camp FAQs for additional details.
Full-day and Half-day options will be available for most of our camps. Please consult our schedule for dates and locations and our pricing for camp costs.
