Option 1: Spectacular Shows |
These are fast paced, high energy exciting performances that combine a little bit of magic with a lot of science to generate a whole bunch of fun. Children from the audience participate in all the demonstrations and are sure to be left with memories that will last well past the event. From snowy dry ice storms and Mad Science bubbling potions to a seasons celebration of lights, audiences will be amazed by what they see, hear, and ugh… taste! Ever see scissors shiver in the winter? Ever De-Frost a Snowman? Here’s your chance!

Option 2: Hands-on Holiday Science Workshops |
The easiest way to add a unique hands-on science component to your program. Each workshop features a great take-home activity that the children do themselves. Our programs are all-inclusive and hassle-free. Mad Science provides the staff, equipment, supplies and fun!

Option 4: Mad Science Fun Stations |
Children will really get “hands-on” as they learn about the scientific principles underlying some of their favorite toys and treats. At a Mad Science Fun Station, the kids will touch, see, feel and taste science for themselves. Below are several Holiday themes Fun Stations that have proven very popular for your type of event. Feel free to select all of them or just a few for your event. To make a big “splash” I would suggest offering a Show and at least one Fun Station.

FUN STATION DESCRIPTIONS:
1) Bubbling Potions (Dry Ice): Taste a “burp”, create monster movie fog and take a crazy bubble shower at this fun station that examines the three states of matter.
2) The Science of Snow Cotton Candy: Learn about the amazing reaction that occurs when you combine heat, sugar and centrifugal force – you get cotton candy! This is a great science experiment that the kids can eat!
3) The Mad Scientist’s Lab (Electricity Station): The kids are in for a “hair raising” good time when they experiment with our Van de Graaff static electricity generator and produce lightning bolts! Kids take home their very own Static Energy Chamber.
4) Make Your Own Snowball Slime: Polymers are all around us. Kids will create and keep their own ooey gooey concoction. Each child gets to take home their own Snow Ball Slime!
5) Super Bouncy Balls: Turn ordinary looking powder into an extraordinary bouncing toy right before your eyes with the help of science (and water)! Each child gets to keep his creation.
6) Where’s The Air Demonstrations: Experiment with air pressure and vacuum as we demonstrate our Vortex Generators and explode marshmallows. Amazing flying helicopters are the take home project at this fun station.
7) Ultraviolet Jewellery: (jingle bell bracelets): Our special beads are clear plastic until you expose them to the sun (or to UV rays) and then they instantly change to a riot of color. Beads cycle between color and clear tens of thousands of times. Make a bracelet or necklace.
8) Instant Snow: This amazing experiment will allow the children to create their very own Snow to take-home….and it doesn’t even melt! A chemical reaction at it’s coolest!
9) Snow Globe: Each child will get an experiment tube to create their own holiday snow globe using water, oil, and glitter. This helps to demonstrate the principals of density.
10) Santa’s Hover Craft Rides: Take a ride on Santa’s amazing hover craft! Float on a cushion of air as you discover the principals of how magical air pressure can be.
11) Spin Art: Centrifugal or Centripetal? Learn the difference between these forces and make some really cool artwork to prove it!
12) Shrinky Dink Ornaments: Children will get to cut out their own ornament from this amazing magical paper that hardens as we use heat the react the paper. This would look perfect on their Christmas Tree.
