Earth and Space Science-
In “Walloping Weather,” we take a look at some of the tools meteorologists use to predict the weather. Kids will experiment with thermometers and anemometers. We look at different types of clouds and international weather symbols to try to forecast the weather! Finally, we capture our very own “pet” tornado to take home!
Our workshop “Earth Awareness” helps students learn about and care for their planet. Learn all about what kinds of materials can be recycled in our relay game!! See how the actions of people can accidentally damage or even destroy a lake and discuss ways to clean it up. You will have a whole new outlook on our planet after this class!
Life Science–
In “Animals,” we discover what makes animals unique. Kids look at fur, claws, feathers, fish scales and porcupine quills to discover why animals have different adaptations. Each child will see what special adaptations earthworms have and create an appropriate habitat for their new pet earthworm.
Force, Motion and Energy–
“Science of Toys” shows your students how scientists learn about the world around them. Play with toys and see the scientific principles they illustrate. Kids will get to see the effects of force and motion on simple classic toys.
