This stellar program is your kid’s ticket to the stars! This in-depth investigation of stars teaches kids all about stars, constellations and galaxies. Kids watch star dust burn and journey through a soapy galaxy as they investigate the life cycle of stars. All the kids will get to use a Bead Dipper to create a three dimensional glow-in-the-dark constellation!
Dinosaurs
Discover all about dinosaurs- what they were, what they ate, and where they went. Children will examine real fossil casts and explore the differences in the teeth of plant eating and meat eating dinosaurs. They will get to compare dinosaurs to animals today, participate in a mini dinosaur excavation, and make a cast of a dinosaur tooth to take home.
Earth Materials
Learn all about the earth and what it is made from in this fantastic workshop. Kids will "dissect" the earth to uncover the three layers. Everyone learns how to classify rocks using the Mohs scale of hardness. We discuss volcanic rocks, geodes and much more! Finally everyone gets to pan for gems and take home their treasure. This class does use eggs, please ask about an egg free alternative in case of allergies.
