Discover the draw of Mad Science in the summer at your local camp, community center, Township center, YMCA or JCC! Mad Science engages children in scientific explorations that are so much fun, children will forget they a’re learning! Campers can team up with fellow “engineers” to build a bridge, participate in an unforgettable dinosaur dig, build and launch a model rocket, explore the science behind their favorite sports, etc.  The selection of activities will make your head spin!

 Preschool Camps (Ages 4 - 6 years):

My First Lab

Become a junior Mad Scientist! This new camp is a great introduction to science for your preschooler. Learn about the states of matter, uncover the secrets of acids and bases, build molecules, learn the science behind magic and optics, create your very own silly putty, and many more take-home items campers create!

Me & My World

During this camp your preschool will learn how to identify wild animals, become a paleontologist and dig for fossils, and even take an adventure into the world of a worm! Children will study their bodies, weather, the invisible power of air and even blast off to the moon!

In the Garden

This camp offers children an exciting introduction to environmental science. Each day is devoted to different aspects of the garden. Children will explore exciting topics like seeds, weather and even bugs! A mural will grow throughout the week as children illustrate their latest discoveries.

 School Age Camps (Ages 7 - 13 years):

NASA: Journey into Outer Space

Comets, planets, matter, stars and more celestial bodies are all waiting to be discovered. Create shimmering stars, learn about the forces of flight, about space life, the challenges of space travel, building shuttles, rockets, and launch them NASA style.

Rockin Rockets

Launch your knowledge of flight as you build your very own rockets. Experiment with different kinds of propulsion systems as you use your new knowledge to blast off, track, and recover different kinds of rockets. Have a "rockin" good time at this rocket camp!

Secret Agent Lab

Go inside a scientist's lab and discover the secrets you've always wondered about. Use your skills as a chemist to make your own radical reactions with batteries, compare fingerprints and discover the mysteries of DNA, all as you fine-tune your secret agent skills. Become a Mad Science detective and use your forensic skills to solve the "Great Cookie Caper".

Red Hot Robots *

Join us for a week of fun with robots! Learn about the uses of robots in our world. Spend time playing with super-cool red-hot robots. Use your skills to build your very own working robot to take home to "live" with you. Join us this summer in our Mad Science robot world!
