Let's face it, teaching science can be difficult. How can you make dry scientific concepts come to life in a fun way? That's where Mad Science can help! We offer In-Class Workshops designed to conquer your difficult concepts and principles and make them fun and exciting.

We at Mad Science understand that with increasing budget cuts and lack of adequate supplies, it is becoming costly and difficult for teachers to provide students with hands-on activities and experiments. We also recognize the increasing requirements of the NCLB law. To assist teachers, we are starting to offer comprehensive standards-based curriculums that are teacher friendly.
Each In-Class Workshop includes:
Convenience > No time-consuming travel or travel costs, and can be
scheduled to accomodate your classrooom schedule. The average In-class workshop is 60-75 minutes. However, we can work to accomodate your specific timeframe.
Hands-on Activities > We provide enough equipment for your class to have multiple demonstrations and hands-on experiments to be done in small groups of 3-5 children, as well as leave behind materials and/or take home projects for each child.
Pre/Post Teacher's Packet > Prior to each workshop, a packet will be provided that will include optional vocabulary, discussions and activities for teachers to do with their class to reinforce the concepts and terms presented in the lesson. It also includes books, suggestions of resources and extension activities for a variety of subject areas related to the topic.
In-class Worksheets > students will answer questions throughout the workshop that teachers can keep and use to help grade each student.
Class Quiz > A Quiz and Quiz Answer Key will be given to each teacher to give to their class at the time of their choosing. Each quiz will evaluate student’s proficiency is what was covered in the Workshop, specifically focusing on Hawaii Standards.
