Preschool Workshops
• Water Works - Gently down the stream… Learn all about the fascinating properties of water and experiment with floating, sinking, absorption and much more.
• Adventures In Air - How can something you can't see keep a kite in the sky or push a boat across the ocean? We'll use spectacular demonstrations and hands-on activities to discover the strength of air!
• Color Lab - See the colors that are hidden inside light. Make your own rainbow and see the fascinating effects of mixing colors.
• World of Worms - Learn about the world of worms. Find out what they eat for lunch and discover why we see them when it rains!
• Keep In Touch - Experiment with the sense of touch and find out how much you can learn about something just by touching. Your fingertips can tell you amazing things!
• Dinosaurs - Become a Dinosaur Explorer and join us for a mini dino dig. Learn about the many different kinds of dinosaurs and examine dinosaur teeth up close!
• Mad Mixtures - Experience eruptions of fun and excitement involving volcanoes and other simple chemistry experiments.
• Weather Wonders - Rain, snow, sleet, or hail...whatever the conditions outside, have fun learning about weather patterns and the water cycle.
• Lights On - What is light? Shine some brightness on this subject by mixing colors and exploring the rainbow of light.
• Human Body - Meet Mr. Bones and learn about muscles and body systems. Take home your own body apron…you’ll wear your insides on your outside!
• Space Frontiers - Boldly travel through the fantastic solar system and sign up for our Mad Scientist Astronaut in Training Program. It’s a blast!
• Eye To Eye - Open your eyes and see the world through telescopes, binoculars and other instruments. Discover how our eyes work, plus the amazing tricks they can play.
• Science of Music - Boom, tap, smack, cha-cha-cha. Feel, see and hear the vibrations that help create the sounds and rhythm of the science of music.
• Listen Closely - Sshhh… With a wave motion model and twirling tube, learn how sound travels. Sounds like fun!
• Animal Friends - Pretend you’re out in the wild, and become an animal, identifying their sounds and exploring camouflage.
• Magnetic Attraction - You’ll be “mysteriously drawn” this class. Experience more about magnets with by experimenting with magnetic poles and color your own Mad Science magnet to take home.
