Mad Science can enhance your science program with inquiry-based workshops that meet state curriculum requirements! Structured as an in-class field trip, a Mad Science workshop is a convenient way to offer students a hands-on science experience without leaving the school. With professional lesson plans, unique equipment and animated instructors, Mad Science workshops offer preschool to 6th grade children truly engaging learning experiences.

• School-Age Workshops generally last 1 hour and can accomodate a class of up to 25 kids with one adult helper/teacher. 
• Preschool Workshops last about 30 minutes and can accomodate 12 kids with one adult helper or 18 kids with two adult helpers. 
• Both School-Age and Preschool workshops include a take-home for each child and a "Pre & Post" Activity Packet for the teacher.  Designed to use both before and after a Mad Science Workshop, the "Pre & Post" contains additional activities as well as a resource list and vocabulary list.

Workshops can be stand-alone sessions or combined into a reoccuring program.  Many schools and facilities use our workshops to supplement their existing science program; others use our workshops as a reward for classes or groups of kids that participate in school programs.  We even offer a set of TAKS prep workshops for kids in grades 3-5.

Dozens of workshop topics are available for both school-age and preschool students (click here to check out a complete list).  Workshops can be scheduled as individual sessions or as part of a reoccurring program.
