AFTER SCHOOL INSTRUCTORS NEEDED  

DO YOU ENJOY WORKING WITH CHILDREN? ARE YOU LOOKING TO WORK ONLY A FEW HOURS PER WEEK?? THEN THIS IS THE JOB FOR YOU!!
Mad Science needs instructors to conduct fun, educational hands-on, weekday after-school programs....GREAT RESUME BOOSTER!!! Must have availability M-F between the hours of 2:30-5:30pm. Must also have dependable car and prior experience working with groups of elementary age children. We provide the training and equipment. Pay: $25-30 per hour long class.  Travel Compensation available depending on location of the programs.

 SUMMER CAMP INSTRUCTORS- LEAD AND ASSISTANT POSITIONS

Mad Science Needs energetic, experienced instructors in both Lead and Assistant Mad Scientist positions for our summer enrichment camps!  Must have experience working with children and have availability from late June-Mid August, Monday-Friday, 8am-3:30pm.  Must have a dependable car and be able to travel to different camp locations in the Greater Portland area and beyond.  For lead instructors a teaching certificate is prefered or several years in education in a lead position.  For assistant instructors, at least 1-2 years working with children in a camp or after school program setting is prefered.  Both positions require high energy, team work, ability to manage a group of 10-20 children, and most of all make science fun for them!  Please check out the information on our Summer camps for more information on what they are all about!  Compensations ranges from $250-400/week depending on experience.  Travel reimbursement available depending on the camp location.

STAGE SHOW & BIRTHDAY PARTY ANIMATORS NEEDED  

Mad Science needs animated instructors to conduct entertaining, high-energy stage shows and/or children's birthday parties (mostly summer evenings and weekends). Must have dependable car and prior experience working with groups of elementary age children. Theatre experience is prefered.  Must be confident, outgoing, and likes being the center of attention!  Must be dependable, organized, and able to travel to different locations in Maine.  We provide the training and equipment. If you enjoy working with children in a performance setting and are looking to work only a few hours per week, this is the job for you!  Compensations depends on experience.  Travel reimbursement available depending on location of the venue.
