Discover the draw of Mad Science in the summer at your local community center.  Mad Science engages children in scientific explorations that are so much fun children will forget they're learning!  Each of our camps are one week of hands-on science fun.

We introduce a brand new camp this year called Energize It!  What can we say about it? ..... Well it's packed full of energy!  We even learn about alternative energy such as Solar, Wind and blast off Hydrogen powered Rockets (our campers actually help make the hydrogen fuel!)  We will also engage in other forms of Earth Awareness such as making our own paper and paint from items provided by nature.  Discover the way in which our bodies and their functions determine why we are good at some sports and not others.  See how an animal's unique characteristics aid in supplying energy for their survival as we simulate their jaws and claws and forage for food.  Come get energized! 

At our camp Red Hot Robots each camper builds their own robot and takes it home at the end of the week!  On top of that we will be looking at different aspects of robot 'life' such as learning to walk like a robot, articulating 'grippers' to lift things and the concept of 'centre of gravity'.  In addition we will gain new understandings of the Mad Science workshops 'Machines', as well as circuits and electricity. This is a great camp for kids interested in these related subjects as well as games and activities associated with them.  Campers must be at least 7 years or older because of the manual dexterity robot building demands. 

Cost of each camp is $160. Register your child in both camps and recieve 15% off the second camp!  (There is a materials charge for the Robots camp of $20 per child)

Camp times are 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday to Friday. 

Free early drop off available as early as 8:00 AM!  After care available from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at a cost of $25 for the week.

All campers will recieve a cool "Hydration Station" Mad Science water bottle!
