We spark imaginative learning when school is out! These hands-on, one-hour science classes are themed around a particular area of science, including such topics as: rocketry, magnets, polymers and even the science of toys! Program topics rotate throughout the year and can be 4 to 12 weeks long.

Children engage in exciting hands-on activities, watch spectacular demonstrations, participate in inquiry-based discussions and take home experiments that they have made themselves such as: model rockets, periscopes, Mad Science putty and more. Mad Science after-school programs offer children a chance to see just how cool science can be!

"Junior Engineers" needed to build triangles and trusses to make bridges and skyscrapers, investigate air pressure and explore centripetal force and gravity.  

Far Out Science

Experience the science of movie effects, art and detective work.  It's like magic, as we experiment with optical illusions, secret messages and foggy, bubbling dry ice. Our discoveries are FAR OUT!

Creatures of the Earth

Explore animal and insect kingdoms as well as some incredible sea life.  We humans are creatures too! Examine these creatures' behaviors, adaptations, camouflage and extreme habitats.

Light and Energy

Learn about electricity, make indoor lightning and conduct hair-raising experiments with an electrostatic generator. Discover the properties of color, holograms and special effects as well as the unique characteristics of heat!

The Extraordinary Earth

See how plants turn sunshine and water into food and the air we breathe. Discover the importance of weather, investigate magnet powers and uncover how rocks and gems are formed. Peek beneath the earth's crust to find out how fossils are made!

Crazy ChemWorks  NEW!

With their own flasks, test tubes and lab journals, students learn the techniques of real chemists! They'll learn to measure, record, test pH and build molecules.
