Camp Descriptions
Summer Programs 2009

Our Summer Camp Programs are fun-filled, half-day sessions that provide exciting hands-on science experiences!  This summer we are offering three camps topics at locations throughout southern New Hampshire:  Science Sleuths, Space Camp, and Spy Academy.  Do some sleuthing; navigate space; or become a spy…the choice is yours!

ü  These programs are appropriate for ages 7 to 12.

ü  Each day the children will make or get something to take home!

ü  Our camp maximum is 25 campers.

ü  Snack is included each day (campers bring their own drink).

Science Sleuths Camp

Focus on the science of forensics in this hands-on look at crime scenes. Identify and collect evidence, from fingerprints to tracks to trash! Recreate the scene of a crime using clues and detailed observations. Campers will use science to connect the dots and help sniff out the suspects in this hands-on investigation into the science of sleuthing.  .

NASA: Journey into Outer Space

From our Earth's atmosphere to the outer reaches of our solar system, this hands-on program sends them on a quest for exploration! Comets, planets, stars and more are all waiting to be discovered. Learn about the four forces of flight, the challenges of space travel, and even participate in a rocket launch!

Spy Academy Camp

Look out 007—the Mad Science Spy Academy is in session! From decoding messages to metal detectors and night vision, campers will have the opportunity to check out spy equipment and even create their own edible message! Campers will use the Secret Code Breaker to communicate stealthily, like real spies. With the Undercover Observer, campers step into the shoes of a spy in action. The viewer allows them to observe visually, while the spy ear enhances their hearing. These tools provide a complete undercover kit for campers to take home.
