Mad Science workshops allow you to avoid the hassles of a traditional field trip. Without buses, insurance, permission forms, and medication to worry about, your costs, headaches, and lost class time are minimized. Let us come to you. Each workshop lasts 45-90 minutes and you can choose from a variety of science topics.  Through our fun, inquiry-based format, children become intrigued with fundamental concepts such as Newton's laws of motion and Bernoulli's principle.

Teachers Handbooks are included with each workshop that not only includes a program overview, but also a dictionary of the vocabulary, curriculum expectations met, extension material for integrating mathematics and language, sources of additional resources for both the teacher and the student and activities and experiments that can turn your classroom into a Mad Science laboratory before and after the workshop.(see sample) 

Even better, we have programs are designed by grade level to meet the specific expectations of the 2007 Ontario Science and Technology Curriculum. Former Minister David Johnson writes: "We were impressed by the dedication of your organization to the enhancement of children's scientific literacy and its efforts to produce programs consistent with the science and technology component of the new provincial curriculum for Grades 1 to 8." 

Pricing: only $5.50-$6.50 per child
Workshops cost a base $115 plus a per child materials fee that depends on the topic being presented (see topic matrix - for most programs the fee is $1.00).
Bulk Discount: Whenever you book 4 regularly priced workshops, you save $25 per program (so coordinate with you fellow teachers).

A travel charge may apply to bookings outside of the Niagara Falls - St Catharines area. GST is in additon to stated prices.
