Mad Science In-Class Workshops bring you a variety of science topics that complement the units you are teaching – all aligned with the Georgia Performance Standards.

Our fun, inquiry-based “interactivities” reinforce concepts already in process or can help you introduce new units with an extra wow factor. We assist teachers in developing their students’ enthusiasm and make science exciting through age-appropriate interactive learning.

AND, we eliminate the hassles of traditional field trips -- we come to you! Think of it … no buses, insurance, permission forms or wrangling chaperones to worry about … while costs, lost class time and headaches are minimized.

What’s Included

Each workshop consists of a 60-minute interactivity by our Mad Scientist. We bring all equipment and materials needed for the workshop.

Students will engage in hands-on activities related to the selected topic. And while we create our programs to be as hands-on as possible, some workshops are more kinesthetic than others.

We email a Teacher’s Guide to you prior to the workshop. This guide features activities and experiments that can turn your classroom into a Mad Science laboratory before and after the Workshop.

All workshops include projects your students get to take home, transferring science from the classroom to the living room.

We can extend your experience through additional science-themed projects for use in class or at home for a reasonable additional cost. Just ask us about them!

Pricing

Workshops cost just $160 for class sizes of 21 and under. For larger classes, add $ 7 per additional student.

We offer back-to-back multiple booking discounts. For example, with two or more workshops booked back-to-back at the same location on the same day, your cost drops to $140 per workshop.

    • Collaborate with other teachers. Multiple bookings – especially consecutively on the same day – may qualify for discounts. Talk with other teachers at your school and contact us about back-to-back and repetitive booking discounts!

    • Integrate the workshop as an educational resource aligned to your curriculum to introduce, review or celebrate the conclusion of a unit.
