Mad Science Workshops

Mad Science workshops are a unique blend of entertainment and education.  We offer 30-, 60- and 90-minute programs in a wide variety of kid-pleasing topics like Crime Scene Investigation, the Science of Slime, Kooky Chemistry and much, much more.

Whether you're a homeschooling group, library, Scout group, traditional classroom or daycare center, we'll fit any budget and accommodate nearly any size group.

                                                                                                            ATTENTION 4TH GRADE TEACHERS!

The ISAT Prep Pack is a series of hands-on, inquiry based workshops designed to help your fourth grade students prepare for the science portion of the ISAT.  Mad Science offers two ISAT Prep Pack options: a 3-week Zip Pack and a 6-week Extended Pack. 

 

 The 3-week Zip Pack is an overview of the three basic science Goals set forth by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).  Students will learn about the Scientific Method, explore Earth/Space sciences, and discuss and examine different types of technology.

 

The 6-week Extended Pack offers more in-depth coverage of the Learning Standards and Benchmarks for Late Elementary.  There is further exploration of the Goals with more time devoted to each.
