Mad Science sparks imaginative learning when school is out! Let your students experience first hand how much fun science can be with Mad Science after school programs. Our hands-on courses meet once per week, after school for one hour. All programs are packed with fascinating demonstrations and inquiry based learning that provides solid educational value. Our curriculum meets state and national science standards.
 Our qualified and dynamic instructors use professional lesson plans and unique material. Our instructors bring all of the equipment to your school and cover topics such as chemical reactions, rocketry, sound, matter, electricity and more.
Each week, students will make and take home a science project related to the class topic. Mad Science also provides a take-home card to students at the end of each class that describe the key vocabulary and includes an experiment that can be done at home.

Parent Funded After School Programs:
- The program is typically six weeks in length each term (fall, winter and spring). We are able to offer shorter and longer programs as needed.
- The school/organization selects the day of the week that the program will be conducted and the schedule of dates. We plan ahead for any skip dates due to holidays or parent conferences.
- The program is parent funded, so there is no cost to the school. The price is determined by the number of weeks the program is conducted.
- We require a minimum of 12 students to register prior to the first class, in order to run the program.
Benefits of the Mad Science After School Program:

Each school that offers a Mad Science After School Program is eligible for a free Mad Science assembly, once per year to get kids excited about science. The assembly is 30 minutes in length and must be held during the registration period.

Mad Science offers a scholarship to teachers for allowing us to use their classroom as a way to say thank you. They may use it for the student of their choice during the term that Mad Science is conducted in their classroom.
- Mad Science is pleased to donate to your school’s raffle, auction or fundraiser in appreciation for your support of our program.
Registration Process:
 Mad Science provides customized registration forms that are duplicated by Mad Science, bundled according to class size and delivered to the school office. Parents can register online at www.madscience.org/sandiego or via mail.
- Mad Science creates a roster and will fax it to the school office on the day the program starts.
- We typically offer a 20:1 ratio. If we receive more than 20 registrations, we will group the students together by like grades.

School/Organization Grant Funded Program:
- The school/organization will contract Mad Science for the number of students that will participate.
- Mad Science will send multiple instructors to your site to accommodate large groups of students. We typically offer a 20:1 ratio.
- Your school/organization will determine the number of weeks you would like to offer Mad Science based on your needs.
