Mad Science needs FUN people, who are able to teach a group of elementary aged children, in a classroom setting.
Our after-school programs, are very popular and a lot of fun for both the students, and the instructor.
To become a Mad Science instructor, you must have experience with managing groups of children, whether as a professional teacher, youth group leader, or camp counsellor. You must enjoy teaching, and be available to work assigned hours as needed.
You do not need a background in science, as we provide full training at our lab. But an interest in the subject matter is preferred.
You must have a valid driving license, and your own car. A fingerprint card will be required before you start teaching.
Instructors are paid $25-30 / per class (DOE), which each last about 1 hour, and are held throughout Scottsdale and NE Phoenix. There are opportunities to work 5+ hours a week, in different schools.
