PARTY DESCRIPTIONS & REQUIREMENTS

MAD MIXTURES
For children turning 4. This party lasts 45 minutes and has a maximum of 14 children. Price is $185.  Can be performed either Indoors or Outdoors.
In this party we talk about chemistry and color changing. The instructor and children do many different experiments mixing colors and other ingredients. In one of the experiments we make a bubbling concoction.

THE EGGBERT SHOW
OUR MOST POPULAR SHOW!  For children ages 5-8. However, entertaining for ALL ages.  Can take place either Indoors or Outdoors.
This is a great party for young children because it is story based with many open-ended questions. We talk about things such as air pressure, where our friend Eggbert, a hard boiled egg, manages to get in and out of his tiny glass flask house which he looks too large to fit into. The children also participate in recycling Styrofoam and witness water disappear with the use of a chemical that is actually found in diapers!  
TAKE HOME: Slime or bouncy balls. 

INDOOR FIREWORKS & LIGHTNING SHOW
For children ages 7-12. Age 7 only if child has seen the Eggbert show. Must be in a darkened room (dark enough to appreciate candle light). Requires electricity.  INDOORS ONLY.
In this party, we talk about electricity, conductors and insulators. We use a device called a Tesla Coil, which assists us in explaining different aspects of electricity and lightning. We also talk about white light so the children discover how diffracting white light gives off all the colors of the rainbow. The finale includes an opportunity for the children to see where the color in fireworks comes from.

THE ENERGIZE IT SHOW
For children ages 7-12. Age 7 only if child has seen the Eggbert show. Requires electricity.  INDOORS ONLY.
Get set for some sparks in this party.  We treat party-goers to a variety of different energetic activites including lightning-fast siphon chains, crackling static relay races, a hot hands dance, and popping hot chemical reactions.

THE CHEMILUMINESCENCE SHOW 
For children ages 9-12. Age 8 only if they have already seen Eggbert.  Can be done either Indoors or Outdoors.
This party is all about different chemical reactions. The children will understand why glo-sticks glow and be able to to distinguish between exothermic and endothermic reactions. We also expose the children to a chemical that appears to glows in the dark and then treat them to hydrophobic sand, which is sand that bonds with air instead of water so it stays dry when put in water.

THE FIZZY PHYSICS SHOW 
Offered ONLY Mid-June through Mid-September. Ages 7-12. Maximum number of children is 22.  Performed OUTDOORS ONLY.  Requires 3-5 gallons of water. The children WILL GET WET.
We talk about soda and why it explodes when it’s dropped. We also allow the children to figure out why super soakers are so much fun during the summer and what that has to do with air pressure. The children will examine gasified candy and witness the result of the reaction when hydrogen gas and carbon dioxide gas are mixed with heat. This party also includes an opportunity to experiment with film canister rockets.
