Forces of Nature      

Witness the awesome power of nature, from the birds and
beasts that inhabit earth, to the weather that governs our home planet.
Learn about the interactions that exist between the living creatures in
ecosystems, including human beings, then team up to create your own
ecosystems. Students will participate in a territory and a food chain game following the rigid rules of nature.  They will discover the purpose of a gizzard and dissect their own owl pellet and investigate how some insects walk on water.  They will learn the parts of an insect by creating their own bug to take home and they will study insect life cycles and behavior by building their own tiny bug house.  Children will understand the basics of water pollution, acid rain and the benefits of solar energy. Uncover the forces that create earthquakes and learn how mountains are formed. See minerals fluoresce before your very eyes!
