DESTINATION JUNGLE:

During this fun workshop Mad Science will safari Junior Explorers through the exotic, tropical world of jungle life. Children will be energized when we take a closer look at rain, light, insects and plants. Stinky bug juice and our pet “snake” will excite everyone. Children will make a Jungle Paw Print to bring home with them.     

SLIME TIME!:

Investigate the exciting world of polymers & the chemical reactions we use to create them. Transform two liquids into an oozing batch of your very own slime using the secret Mad Science recipe, and then enter your creation in the Slime Olympics!  

LAUGH OUT LOUD:

Mad Science will tease your brain and tickle your funny bone with our hilarious, interactive Laugh Out Loud workshop.  Children will be astonished to witness water disappear. A cheer of excitement will rise when we escape from locked chains. Everyone will create a silly noise Quacker and a hilarious Rattle Snake Scare to entertain their families!

                                       DETECTIVE SCIENCE:

Children will step into the role of a detective and discover how forensic science plays a central role in solving crimes. They will create and analyze fingerprints, examine dental records, make teeth impressions and discover how written materials can be analyzed to help solve a crime. Their powers of observation will be put to the test. Everyone will make a Child Identification Kit to record their fingerprints and other vital information. 

KITCHEN CHEMISTRY:

In this fun & interactive workshop children will discover that their kitchen is actually a chemistry lab. We will take everyone on the hunt for starch, sugar and fats in foods as well as investigate a living organism that helps bread rise. Children will produce their own chemical reaction as they create Crazy Dough to take home.  

SCIENCE OF TOYS:

Using bouncing balls, yo-yos and other classic toys, children will discover the science of motion and how their favorite toys work. We will investigate how cool vector toys and string things work during this fun, hands-on workshop. Children will construct their very own Ball-Catch Toy to bring home.  

 UNDER PRESSURE:

Children will be challenged to stop and consider air, its effects on our surroundings and its significance to life on earth. Everyone will enjoy a fascinating tale of our Viking ship. A stimulating series of hands-on activities will illustrate Bernoulli’s Principle and children will explore the phenomena of lift and drag. The Mad Science Vortex Generator and Water Rocket will provide great fun and a vivid demonstration of the power of air! Everyone will construct their own Bernoulli's Mist Maker to bring home with them.
