Our team consists of a group of dedicated "Mad Scientists" who each bring their unique skills and talents to our Mad Science Family. We utilize each Mad Scientist's skills in the best way ensuring that they most enjoy working with us, and in turn provide the very best programs that they can!
Mad Science Vancouver Island is lead by our Chief Mad Scientist; Alena Kottova, who has years of experience as a teacher both in and outside science subjects. She worked for 5 years at the Ontario Science Centre where she was an integral part of the Challenger Learning Centre. She holds degrees in Physics, Philosophy, and is currently working on a Phd in methods of education. Alena will find fun in any task, and her explosively animated and exciting personality is contagious to all those around her.
