NASA!! JR. ASTRONAUTS (5-12 years old):
Join our Academy of Future Space Explorers as you prepare to explore the galaxy. Build your own model rocket, race a balloon rocket, and then see the real thing - a rocket launch up to 300 ft. in the air! Make and take home your own comet, Shuttle Copter, glow-in-the-dark Bead Dipper and much more. See comets up close as one is formed before your eyes. Use teamwork to complete an important space mission and build a model space station. Travel to the end of the rainbow and make a sunset. This NASA camp is ‘Out of this World’!
Mad Science ALL STARS! (5-12 years old):
Mad Science invites you to discover what football players, scientists, and ballet dancers have in common. Make a new friend, CG Owl, and find out what he has to say about gravity and sports. Be a Super Spy and use Morse code to send secret messages to your friends. Launch a water bottle rocket and test soil for “Martian” life. Let your nose be your guide on a trail of scents and use jaws and claws to feed your beastly stomach. All of this and more are included in this exciting week of Mad Science camp.
ROCKIN’ ROCKETS & AERODYNAMICS (5-12 years old):
Experience hands-on designing and building many different types of flying devices. See how things move through the air and how rockets fly! Awesome aerodynamics that are fun filled with loops, twists, and sometimes crashes. Make out of this world Milky Way Ice Cream from scratch. Experiment with different kinds of propulsion systems as you use your new knowledge to blast off, track and recover different kinds of flying makings. Have a “Rockin” good time with Mad Science X-Treme Rockets.
SCIENCE IN MOTION (5-12 years old):
Discover how things move with science. Take apart pellets to see what an owl can digest. View the world through a camera obscura that you make yourself. Assemble and control pulleys, levers, catapults, and mega pinchers. Take a walk on the wild side to explore the beasts of the fields and the birds of the air. Build your own birdhouse; make your own sidewalk chalk; grow your own crystal gardens; play with Magic Mud, and so much more. See you there!
CRAZY CHEMWORKS (5-12 years old):
Come and discover what it’s like to be a real scientist and work in a Mad Science Lab. Each day we will experiment with different chemicals and tools to see what kind of interesting and crazy reactions we can create!! Students will explore acids and bases, reveal the secret recipe of slime, examine crystallization, probe through shifting states of matter, and much, much more. By the end of the week the Jr. Mad Scientists will have their very own chemistry set so they can perform their own experiments at home!!
*New* RaDICAL ROBOTS (8-13 years old):
I am a RO-BOT! Join us for a week of FUN with amazing robots! Learn about the uses of robots in our world and spend time experimenting with super cool robots that can sense sound, follow patterns, even play soccer! Discover the science of circuitry how robots use sensors to explore the things around them. Then use your skills to build your very own working robot to take home with you!
