Mad Science Special Event Booths

Our Mad Science Booths will add fun and excitement to your next event. Children will be able to do hands-on experiments in a wide variety of topics as well as take something home with them. Here are some available topics:

  Polymers

Children will make and take home Slime, Silly Putty or Super Balls. Other polymers will be demonstrated & made available for touching.

Chemistry

Children will make a Crystal Garden or a Wave Motion Modulator to take home and will get to see the amazing chemistry behind Dry Ice and sublimation.

Electricity

Children will copper plate their own nickels, learn the strength of an electromagnet and observe the marvelous power of static electricity using a Van de Graaff generator.

Air

Children can make their own air rocket or football plane and learn about Bernoulli’s Principle or see how a vortex works and (depending on the venue) either observe a rocket launch or ride on our hovercraft.

With one Mad Scientist, we can usually accommodate 4 children at a time for the hands-on activity. The average amount of time spent per child is about 3-5 minutes (depending on the booth), so in one hour with one Mad Scientist, about 60-80 children can go through a booth. Call us at 800-281-9709 with any questions.
