Each 11-minute episode blends real science with laugh-out-loud fun, helping kids in Grades 1–6 explore fascinating topics like organs, body systems, germs, and nutrition through hands-on demos, wild experiments, and a healthy dose of humour. It’s the kind of learning that makes parents and teachers cheer and kids giggle from grossness!

When the Sphere Media team behind Burps, Butts & Bones came knocking, our Mad Science crew couldn’t resist joining the fun. Together, we brainstormed episode ideas, crafted experiments, and made sure every fart joke had some serious science behind it.

Our R&D team, experts in turning complex concepts into kid-friendly fun; co-developed experiments and reviewed outlines and scripts to keep the science sound while keeping the laughs rolling.

Filming

Mad Science even hit the set! Our very own educational designer Lindsay and two of our amazing instructors, Marie & April from Mad Science Toronto, co-starred alongside Bones in three episodes featuring hands-on demos about air pressure, snot, and sneezes. From prepping the gear to performing on camera, our scientists brought their trademark energy (and Mad Science wackiness!) to every scene.
